  • Nidhi Anandani, Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist

Trauma informed therapy is an effective, adjunctive treatment for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, insomnia, and many other psycho somatic conditions.
Nidhi’s approach is to offer a safe space for participants to navigate body and mind through the exploration of movement, breath, and meditation combined with neuroscience, trauma theory and attachment theory research. is open to all people of all ages regardless of gender identity, race, ethnicity, body type and physical ability.

Through Yoga therapy I embarked on my own healing path. Yoga became a powerful tool in my recovery, and I became a curious and passionate practitioner of yoga for addiction and mental health.

I also have advanced training in Mindfulness Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Tantric Philosophy, Yoga for Anxiety, Yoga for Cancer, Yoga for Chronic Pain, Yoga for Depression, Yoga for Parkinson’s and Yoga for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

We uses a hands-off approach – meaning no physical assists from the facilitator.

    • We encourage exploration of your own shapes – choices to decide how you would like to move
    • It is adjunctive with talk therapy
    • It has its foundations in trauma therapy, neuroscience and is based on Hatha Yoga.

We recognize that having a place to share any emotions, experiences or thoughts is important, and having a therapist can be helpful to share these experiences. We encourage you to be in counseling during this process to assist you through trauma healing.

The goal here is not to master yoga form but rather to explore sensations and stay in the present moment. including those who experience depression, anxiety, or other mental distress.
